Many individuals suffer from a whole range of allergies. The nine most common allergens are listed below. If one or more of these are an ingredient of an Arnott's product, or if they may have come into contact with that product during the manufacturing process, we're required by law to declare them on pack.
- Cereals containing gluten and their products namely wheat, rye, barley, oats and spelt
- Added Sulphites in concentrations of 10 mg/kg or more
- Tree nuts
- Sesame seeds
The following information shows you where to look on-pack to find if one or more of these allergens is present in an Arnott's product:
The ingredient panel is where you will find the list of ingredients in the product, including any of the top nine allergens that may be present. Like most food manufacturers, Arnott's reviews and modifies its recipes on an ongoing basis, so if you have an allergy to a particular ingredient, it's important to check the ingredient list every time you make a purchase.
'May contain' Statement
You should also check the 'may contain' statement every time you make a purchase. If a product contains one of the top nine allergens as an ingredient, it will always be listed in the ingredient panel. But if the top nine allergen could be present as a result of possible cross-contamination, it will only be listed in the 'may contain' statement.
